This is where you get the games: Pinball
shows. Arcade related auctions are ok too, but some don't
have many pinball machines, or they may be really
overpriced. I've never been to an arcade auction so I'm
just going by what I've heard. If you are in interested
in auctions, check out Pete's
Pinball Pages. I've been to three shows, Allentown Pinball Wizard's Convention, 1999, 2000, as well as The White Rose Pinball Classic in York, PA, 2000. The Allentown Pinball Wizard's Convention, Allentown, PA is about 6.5 hours from Richmond, VA. The show usually takes place around the first weekend in May. Saturday is the biggest day. Around 100 pins set up for free play inside and decent size flea market outside. Flea markets are the most fun, since you have no idea what you will find, mostly unshopped, but usually salvageable. The White Rose Pinball Classic in York, PA is about 4.5 hours from Richmond, VA. This show usually takes place the second weekend in October. Saturday is the biggest day for this show too. At least 100 pins set up for free play inside, along with some video games, air hockey, etc. Their flea market is worth it too. You'll never know what you will find. Pinball shows are all over the place! See the links at the bottom of this page for one near you. |
