The 5th ANNUAL WHITE ROSE GAMEROOM SHOW
Friday, October 12 - Sunday, October 14th
York PA Fairgrounds
Well, another show has come and gone.
There weren't as many flea market vendors and not as many
games set up inside, but still a great show. There were
all kinds of pins to play and purchase. Some games were
broken, but that's pinball. Cyclone had a ball stuck on
the ferris wheel, Bad Cats suffered an adjustment failure
whatever that is, and while I played a Jackbot, the ball
got stuck inside the visor and wouldn't shake loose. Didn't win the Surf Champ that was given away at 2 pm on Saturday. Oh well, another that will remain on my "wanted" list. I enjoyed playing Incredible Hulk, Monte Carlo, Hi Lo Ace, a pristine Firepower and lots of others. I can't believe the Hulk never broke down. Well, onto the pics. |

Derby Day, $500 asking price. Nicer than mine, almost bought it, passed. Bally Rogo pin on the right, kinda rare. Superman was around $500 I think, working, according to the seller. |
The Amazing Spider Man was sold by around lunch time. There was also a working one inside the show. |
Major League, a very rare pitch and bat. $200 was the asking price. I was so tempted to get this thing, just to see what it would do when I plugged it in. It was missing some parts, but maybe not enough to keep it from powering up and playing somewhat. |
|
Stop And Go, sold later |
|
Alpine Club, Williams, 196?, Not for sale |
|
Jacks Open, also sold |
|
Some videogame memorabilia |
First we saw a Stop N Go, then this World Series I think it is. |
Another Ms. Pac man. There were two working inside I think. |
The guy in the black t-shirt is Wayne Namerow, webmeister of http://www.pinballmuseum.com . The guy in the white t-shirt is Harvey Weitzner, another 30's pin collector. |
A lot of parts games. The prices weren't bad. From left to right, Apollo, Triple Action, $150, Silverball Mania, Circus, $150, (no backglass), Eight Ball Deluxe, $275 (blows fuses), Fireball Classic, $275? and a couple others to the left, I forget what. Some assorted parts: part of a Mr./Ms. Pacman head. I think there was a working Fireball Classic inside. |
A very rare Chicago Coin "Foreign Legion" EM shooter game. I played one years ago. This is the same one that was leftover at last year's show. This year it sold. $300 I believe was the asking price and it didn't appear to be a parts game either. |
A closer look at "Foreign Legion" The sun's reflection made it impossible for me to get shots through the glass. If it's like the Midway Shark Attack EM game I used to play, also featured in the classic film, "Jaws", you get 60 seconds to shoot the targets and if you score high enough, you get a replay. Does anybody know of a site for these EM gun games? |
A hard to find Gottieb, "Big Casino" SOLD! $350 I think. This one was actually repainted. Fooled me. See the above link for what the original pattern looks like. |
